Jeanine Burnett, Chiyako Ito and Leslie Weeks competed in the Big Sur Half
Marathon.
October 10, 2004
The HVL Milers made an impressive showing at the 15th Annual Vineyard
Run for Literacy in Kelseyville by winning 3 age divisions and placing 2nd in 1
age division. In the 5K race, James Biggers finished 6th overall and placed
2nd in his age division, Georgeann Tintorri placed 29th overall and won her
age division, and Damon Mattson placed 2nd overall and won his age
division. In the 10K race, Chiyako Ito placed 12th overall and won her age
division, and Leslie Weeks placed 20th overall and 7th in her age division. In
addition to the great results, the race raised over $6,700 for literacy services
in Lake County.
September 19, 2004
Bill and Jeanine Burnett competed in the Maui Marathon and Half Marathon.
Bill ran injured, but still placed 26th out of 51 in his age division with a time of
4:58 in the marathon. Jeanine placed 2nd in her age division with a time of
1:59 in the half marathon.
July 4, 2004
Chiyako Ito and Damon Mattson competed in the 33rd annual Kenwood
footrace. Chiyako placed 4th in her age group with a time of 13:56. Damon
Mattson placed 1st in his age group with a time of 11:52. See all of the results.

Chiyako Ito and Jeanine Burnett competed in the 17th annual Hit The Road
Jack 10K. Chiyako's time was 52:32 and Jeanine's time was 53:08. See all

The 2nd annual Spring Has Sprung race hosted by the HVL Milers was held
on May 1. The race raised over $2300 for the Coyote Valley Elementary
School and Middletown High School Cross Country Team. See all of the race

Five HVL Milers competed in the Dr. McDonald Just Go Race in Santa Rosa,
CA. See all of the results.
April 3, 2004
Two HVL Milers competed in the Carneros Vineyard 5K Run in Napa, CA.
James Biggers placed 22nd overall and 7th in his age division with a time of
23:18. Damon Mattson placed 11th overall and 4th in his age division with a

Four HVL Milers competed in the Whale Run and Walk in Fort Bragg, CA. In
the 5K race, Tyler Burnett placed 3rd in his age group with a PR of 30:56. In
the 10K race, Jeanine Burnett finished 2nd Female overall and 1st in her age
group with a time of 54:22. Bill Burnett and Chiyako Ito also competed (times

Three HVL Milers competed in the 26th Annual Napa Valley Marathon. Bill
Burnett, club president, finished the course in 4:10. Jeanine Burnett, club
treasurer and race director, finished the course in 4:29. Anna Tyrrell, club
